How the daily Jumble works
The Jumble gives you four (sometimes five or six) scrambled words. Each one unscrambles to exactly one real word using every letter. Some of the letters in each answer sit in circles; those circled letters, taken together, scramble into the final answer that completes the cartoon caption. The final answer is almost always a pun on the picture.
Using this solver
- Type one scrambled word. The solver shows every real word that uses exactly those letters. Usually there is one; if there are several, pick the one that fits the circle positions.
- Write down the circled letters from each solved word.
- Enter all the circled letters in the final answer box. The solver lists one-word and two-word combinations that use every letter. Scan for the pun.
Why the final answer is harder
Eight circled letters can form thousands of two-word combinations, and the solver cannot see the cartoon. It gives you the candidates; you pick the one that matches the joke. Common words are highlighted to make the scan faster. If nothing fits, re-check the circled letters; one wrong letter breaks everything.
